‘Instead of making them a healthy meal, I would just get takeaway so most nights that’s what they would eat,’ she said.

‘I couldn’t play with them anymore, I couldn’t even walk around the block without aching and getting tired so my kids weren’t getting much exercise either.’

‘If I took them to a park I would be so embarrassed to wear clothes that were tight on me so I would wear baggy jumpers, even in the summer.’

Her turning point was when she tried on a pair of size 20 jeans that she wasn’t even able to zip up.

‘I just looked at myself in the mirror and couldn’t understand how I had gotten so big. Mentally I made hundreds of excuses but it was simple. I was lazy and I over ate nonstop,’ Ms Brown said.

After this wake-up call Ms Brown started cutting out sugar from her diet as much as she could.

She stopped eating takeaway and started making every meal herself.

The 29-year-old now eats 1,500 to 1,800 calories a day which initially helped her drop to 99 kilos, where she stayed for four to five months.

Then she realised she needed to add exercise into her routine if she wanted to lose more.

‘I wanted to go to the gym for spin classes but I was too heavy for the bikes and was too embarrassed, so I took spin classes in the pool and at home I found a free workout page on YouTube called “fitness blender” and I decided to try one,’ she said.
