Clara Compton, 29, ordered a sex toy online but reached out to Australia Post when it didn’t arrive on time
A single mother’s attempts to buy herself a gift online have gone viral after her Facebook message to Australia Post about its late delivery racked up thousands of likes and comments.
Clara Compton, 29, ordered a Satisfyer Pro sex toy online and when the package didn’t arrive within the estimated time of delivery, she took to Australia Post’s Facebook page to ask why.
In the post, Clara, from Port Augusta in South Australia, explained that she had the package ‘express posted for a reason’.
‘As a young independent woman, I take pleasure in looking after myself,’ she said on Facebook.
‘I’m sure you do not understand the urgency of this product. I mean I had express posted it for a reason. A very frustrated reason.’
Clara’s post was written after her sex toy wasn’t delivered on time by the postal service on Tuesday February 27 and she wanted to express her disappointment when the package never arrived.
The mother-of-five told Daily Mail Australia in response to the post: ‘I though maybe my mum and family would see it not thousands of people’
‘I mean that’s the exact reason I bought this gift from heaven for myself, but alas like every other male in my life, literally the mail has disappointed me as well and all I was left with is bills.’
Despite the post’s entertaining nature Clara, a mother-of-five, never expected it to go viral and said she instead just wanted a humorous way discover the whereabouts of her package.
‘I though maybe my mum and family would see it not thousands of people, I’m so embarrassed. I just wanted Australia Post to know my present-to-myself hadn’t arrived yet,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.

‘There’s no way I thought it would actually blow up, I was just trying to be funny. This is so awkward.’
In response to the post, Nathan, an Australia Post social media representative promptly replied to Clara’s concerns saying:
‘We’re all about good vibes here at Australia Post and never want any of our customers to feel anything but the happiness a speedy package can provide.’
Despite private messaging Clara soon after the exchange, the much-wanted sex toy has still not arrived.
