This is the jaw-dropping moment a motorway driver escapes without a scratch after a black BMW comes hurtling through the central reservation towards his car. 

Dashcam footage from the 32-year-old project manager’s car shows the collision that sends a bit of plastic barrier flying into his windshield as he drives home on the M62. 

The motorist, who did not wish to be named, said: ‘I initially thought the car was going to come through the central reservations and hit my car. I was quite scared.’

After a car swerved into the black BMW it was pushed into the central reservation in the incident yesterday afternoon at about 2.30pm.

The driver added: ‘I just saw a car on the other side of the motorway hit another vehicle, I think it lost control and swerved into it. 

‘The black BMW went straight into the central reservation.’

The footage shows a car, which the motorist believes was travelling at about 70mph, come careering towards central reservation but luckily it stops before crossing on to the other side of the motorway.

As the car smacks into the barrier some of it becomes dislodged.  

The impact from the car hitting the barrier of the reservation sent some of the black plastic hurtling toward’s the driver’s windshield. 

He said: ‘I was travelling back home after work going westbound towards Manchester on the M62.

‘Something came flying and hit my windscreen.’
