Mum and owner of Sabo Skirt Thessy Batsinilas, shows off incredible body transformation

A mum-of-two has shown off her incredible 13kg body transformation after just four weeks of training and eating well.

Designer and co-owner of Sabo Skirt Thessy Batsinilas, 31, from Brisbane, weighed in at just over 80 kilos when she gave birth to her son Jay earlier this year.

After Jay was born, she decided to take charge of her health and shake some of the weight she put on during pregnancy and hormone treatment.

Just over four weeks later, the 31-year-old has shifted 13kg and debuted a much flatter stomach at 67kg.

Thessy said she relies on daily walks, 28-minute exercise sessions and a diet that consists of five meals of balanced protein, carbs and fibre in order to stay on track.

Thessy told FEMAIL that the program she has used to lose the weight has been designed by her husband, who co-owns the fitness company Fitazfk:

‘I asked my husband if he could make a program based on my lifestyle and food preferences, and I’m currently four weeks into what he designed,’ she told FEMAIL.

‘I have done a similar program before. Previously, I lost 23 kilograms before my wedding after giving birth to my first child, Zani.

‘This one is based off similar fundamentals and has just been improved with all the knowledge from my previous weight loss and other challenges from around the world.’

'The exercise program is super achievable because it's so short, and means I can always fit it in with my busy lifestyle of working full-time for my store Sabo Skirt, while raising two children,' Thessy (pictured working out)

Thessy’s weight loss secrets

* 28-minute workout daily, either strength or HIIT-based.

* One to two fast walks per week.

* Five meals per day from a ‘meal builder’ program that encompasses the main food groups (protein, carbs, fibre and fats).

* Two of these meals are healthy snacks and are eaten before and after a workout. Typical options include fruit, nuts and homemade, protein-rich bliss balls.

Every day, Thessy trains and follows either a 28-minute strength or HIIT-based workout.

‘It’s super achievable because it’s so short, and means I can always fit it in with my busy lifestyle of working full-time for my store Sabo Skirt, while raising two children,’ she said.

Alongside the daily workouts, Thessy is doing one to two fast walks per week and following a ‘dietitian-approved meal program’.

‘This is broken into five meals per day: your three main meals and two snacks before and after the workout,’ she said.

‘In each meal, the meal builder gives you options that you can pick one food type from each of the main food groups (protein, carbs, fibre and fats).’

A typical meal might be two eggs, one slice of wholegrain bread, mushrooms and spinach and a quarter of an avocado for breakfast.

A dinner alternative is 100 grams of chicken breast, 1/3 of a cup of cooked brown rice, Asian greens and a tablespoon of olive oil to make chicken teriyaki stir fry.

‘I like following this diet as it’s easy and gives me flexibility, leaving me feeling like I’m not on a strict diet,’ she said.

Thessy snacks on nutrient-rich options like fruit, nuts or homemade protein-rich bliss balls.

The 31-year-old also shared her top tips for anyone who wants to lose weight:

‘If you want to transform your body, it’s imperative to understand your energy intake,’ she said.

‘Educate yourself on portion sizes and what is calorie rich and serving you little purpose.’

Thessy said it’s also key to understand that weight loss isn’t instant and it will take time.

She hopes to reach her pre-pregnancy weight of 53 kilograms within six months, and has another 14kg to go.

‘I believe slow and steady wins the race. Trust the process. Be consistent and your transformation will come.’

She has been sharing progress shots of her work on her Instagram profile.

‘I have loved showing that not all women bounce back to their pre-pregnancy body instantly, and it’s okay to look different to what you did before,’ Thessy concluded.

‘I just want to get back to feeling like myself and helping other women to the same.’
