An Australian mum has shared how she cleaned her old, grimey oven in a matter of seconds with a little-known $7 gel.
Perth woman Kym posted before and after images to the Mums Who Clean Facebook group where she revealed she used the Selley’s Oven Plus Heavy Duty Gel.
The budget product worked so well it left the appliance looking unrecognisable compared to its original greasy brown condition.

‘So this is how good Selley’s Oven Gel is! Took out [the] racks, used a paintbrush to apply (applicator brush on bottle can get awkward) to both oven and racks,’ Kym said online.
‘Closed [the] door and left racks for about ten minutes before I started cleaning them.
‘Grease build-up comes off quite easily and the Koh diamond sponge is helpful for hard to get areas.’

A third confirmed: ‘This is the best oven cleaner. Also works well on pots that have burnt on food!’
