Australian music producer Nick ‘Moonbase’ Luke has opened up about his battle with brain cancer.
The 26-year-old suffered headaches for a year and was misdiagnosed before discovering that he had a ‘golf-ball sized tumour’ in his brain following a CT scan.
Speaking to Daily Telegraph, Nick said: ‘Before I got my diagnosis, I had never thought of brain cancer being a thing that could happen to someone as young as me. At 26.’

He added: ‘I thought cancer was something that happened in your later years, it was something I associated with older people.’
Besides being misdiagnosed early on, Nick admitted that as his symptoms persisted, he let getting checked up again fall to the ‘wayside’ as he focused on his burgeoning music career.
The young star also admitted to Googling all his symptoms ‘like a typical millennial,’ with the results revealing that his symptoms were probably related to depression.
Nick later spent five weeks in hospital recovering after having the tumour successfully removed, followed by a few months in rehab working on his walking and balance.
