My Kitchen Rules Jess and Emma called ‘ugliest hags ever’

They’re the fiesty blondes shaping up to be My Kitchen Rules’ resident ‘villains’ when the series kicks off next week.

And Sydney-based sisters Jess Alvial, 31, and Emma Byron, 38, have discovered there is already a dark side to their reality TV fame.

Speaking to The Saturday Telegraph, the budding cooks revealed how they have had their looks criticized and been called ‘hags’ by viewers.

‘We have been called the ugliest hags ever’: My Kitchen Rules Jess and Emma reveal they have had their looks criticised ahead of TV debut … as one of the sister admits to cosmetic work

The sisters admitted they were shocked they had received such a strong reaction before the series even airs.

Already courting controversy with their appearances in TV promos the sisters are understood to have been involved in a November stoush with a male team in Launceston.

‘We have been called the ugliest hags ever. What mirror have I been looking into? I guess people are entitled to their opinion,’ Emma said.

‘I’m sarcastic and clearly not everyone finds me funny. And I might look like an a**hole, but that’s not me.’

Jess said she was content with how she looked no matter what the critics said about her.

But the glamorous blonde admitted to getting cosmetic work done to enhance her looks.

‘I’m happy with my appearance. Yeah, I get my lips done and do booty routines because I want to. If people don’t believe in that then it’s their choice,’ she explained.

The sisters previously promised they won’t hold back when it comes to winning the cooking challenges.

‘We could win – when we score everyone zero,’ Emma told TV Week, with Jess also admitting to the magazine: ‘People will think we’re horrible.’
