  • They didn’t like how she mocked Professor Green as he tried weather presenting

Hundreds of viewers have complained about the way Naga Munchetty grilled rapper Professor Green and Tory MP James Cleverly on BBC Breakfast.

The presenter was previously at the centre of a row after she was found to have broken guidelines when she reacted to Donald Trump’s ‘racist’ remarks about Democrat politicians.

The decision was overturned by director general Tony Hall after an outcry.

Now it has been revealed that 332 viewers complained about Munchetty’s presenting on another episode on September 26. This raises the potential of another investigation into her comments on the show.

Viewers were angered by the way she had grilled Tory chairman Cleverly and over how she mocked Professor Green as he tried his hand at weather presenting.

A BBC spokesman said of the Green complaint: ‘We stand by the output and have defended it.’
