It comes just a few days after Nathan proudly watched on as Mary played in the Matildas’ 2-0 win over China at Accor Stadium in Sydney.
The halfback attended the friendly with his mother Rebecca.
Mary, who plays for Manchester City, had further cause for celebration on Tuesday when she was named in the Olympic squad ahead of the Games in Paris in July.
The pair were then seen sharing an ice cream following a promotional event hosted by Adidas, a brand both athletes endorse.
Both athletes are said to be very private when it comes to their relationships, and Cleary admitted the intense spotlight on his personal life in recent months is something he didn’t expect.
‘Obviously it’s different from when I was young coming into first grade and people are dissecting my game. I hadn’t had that before,’ he said.
