National Lottery winner celebrates £3m jackpot win with a boob job after buying ones for sisters

A National Lottery winner has celebrated her £3million jackpot with a boob job after first buying cosmetic breast surgery for both her sisters.

Sarah Cockings, 36, who lives in Whitley Bay, Tyne and Wear, with her partner and three children, won £3,045,705 on April 30, 2005, when she was just 21.

She paid for sisters Emma, now 37, and Alex, now 32, to have the plastic surgery but has now treated herself.

Ms Cockings, speaking at an event to celebrate the lottery’s 25th birthday this week, said: ‘Just after I won, I bought my two sisters boob jobs.

‘But now I’ve had one myself, because mine were wrecked by breastfeeding. I love them!’

She added: ‘I bought my house outright, and I have a nice car but I live a very normal life.

But she later said she decided to pick her numbers on the day she won

‘I went back to university to study after winning because my mum so wanted that picture of me graduating — which she has now on her mantelpiece.’

Ms Cockings also got her parents a house, adding a Mini Cooper and a Range Rover Sport for herself.

When she was 28, the student quit her social worker studies to pursue modelling and media opportunities.

She said at the time: ‘Up ’til now there’s been no bad part of being a millionaire – I’ve loved every minute of it.’

Ms Cockings said after her mammoth win that she would usually go up to the Lotto terminal – ran by her sister Alex – and ask for three Lucky Dips.

But she later said she decided to pick her numbers on the day she won.

The winning numbers were 2, 23, 26, 30, 39, 47 and the bonus 31.

On Saturday it was revealed Lotto lout Michael Carroll has a new job working as a £10-an-hour coalman after blowing his £9.7million jackpot.

He described the ten years of blowing his multi-million fortune on drink, drugs and brothels as ‘the best ten years of my life for a pound’.

But now he works as a coalman in Moray, Scotland – a far cry from his short-lived lavish lifestyle.
