Naya Rivera’s ex-fiancé Big Sean breaks his silence following reports the actress is missing and presumed dead after her four-year-old son was found asleep and alone in a boat

Big Sean has broken his silence following reports his ex-fiancée Naya Rivera is missing and presumed dead after her son was found alone on a boat.

The rapper, 32, has shown his support by liking a series of tweets from fans who said that they were ‘praying’ for Naya’s safe return and urging people to search for her.

Big Sean and Naya were previously engaged however they called it off just months later in 2013, amid reports he had cheated on her with Ariana Grande.

Fears are growing for Naya after a boater raised the alarm after seeing Naya’s vessel drifting and her child asleep on board.

Big Sean liked a string of tweets from supporters, including one that said: ‘Prayers out to Naya Rivera. I hope she is ok.’

Another said, ‘Praying they find Naya Rivera. She wrote this 6 days ago’ alongside a poignant post from Naya that read: ‘No matter the year, circumstance or strifes everyday you’re alive is a blessing. Make the most of today and every you are given. Tomorrow is not promised.’

He also liked a tweet that urged authorities to continue their hunt for Naya, after the search was suspended over night.  

The tweet read: ‘KEEP SEARCHING FOR NAYA RIVERA. HER SON NEEDS HER!!!!!’

Big Sean and Naya got engaged in 2013 following six months of dating, however they split just five months later amid swirling cheating allegations.

Naya discussed the split in her memoir Sorry Not Sorry and revealed that she discovered she wasn’t getting married anymore after reading an article online.

She penned: ‘We’d been fighting for five straight days while he was traveling, and then on the one day that he was back in LA, he said he didn’t want to see me.

‘Well, a******, I’ve got a key to your house. I walk in, go downstairs, and guess what little girl is sitting cross-legged on the couch listening to music? It rhymes with ‘Smariana Schmande.’ 

A statement from Big Sean’s representative said: ‘After careful thought and much consideration, Sean has made the difficult decision to call the wedding off.

‘The recent rumors and accusations reported by so called or fake sources are simply untrue. Sean wishes Naya nothing but the best and it is still his hope that they can continue to work through their issues privately. We will not be commenting again on this matter.’

Big Sean did go on to date Ariana for nine months, while Naya married her ex-boyfriend Ryan Dorsey, who she had previously go out with four years earlier.

They married on July 19, 2014, which was the same date she was slated to marry Big Sean. Naya and Ryan welcomed a baby boy – Josey – in 2015.

They divorced three years later in 2018.
