TMZ claims to have obtained an August 23 phone conversation between Cousins and his ex-girlfriend Christy West in which she refuses to allow their son to see his wedding the following day in Atlanta. The male voice on the phone can be heard threatening the woman.

‘I’m gonna ask you this one more time before I take it to another level,’ the man’s voice can be heard saying on the recording. ‘Can I have my son here, please?’

When the woman says ‘no,’ the man angrily responds: ‘I’m gonna make sure I put a bullet in your f**king head.’

West allegedly filed a restraining order against Cousins in his home state of Alabama, claiming that he told her he would kill her, ‘even if he didn’t have to get his hands dirty doing it.’

She alleged in court documents that Cousins choked her, according to TMZ.

West reportedly stated that she does not want Cousins near their son, although she would consider allowing him supervised visitation rights.

According to TMZ, West also filed a police report in Mobile, Alabama.

A police spokeswoman confirmed the existence of an investigation to the Daily Mail, but declined to provide any police report.

Cousins reportedly married Morgan Lang in Atlanta on Saturday. His son not in attendance, according to TMZ, but Cousins was joined by many NBA stars such as Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green and Lakers teammate Anthony Davis.

After signing a one-year, $3.5 million deal with the Lakers in July, the 6-foot-11 center suffered a severe knee injury while preparing for the upcoming season and now there is a good chance he does not play in 2019-20. Cousins has made over $86 million over his nine-year NBA career.

In response to the injury, the Lakers brought back former All-Star center Dwight Howard on a non-guaranteed deal.
