Prior to the latest installment in the Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift saga, NBC decided to employ one of its own reality television shows to help those Swifties who are just getting into the sport.

In a pre-game tease, The Voice host Carson Daly was enlisted in helping explain the situation surrounding the game to a legion of fans who may not all be fully versed in this match’s backstory.

‘We got a call from our friends at NBC Sports asking us to put tonight’s story in language that the legions of Swifties would understand,’ Daly explained.

They then launched into a video chock full of references to Swift’s songs throughout the singer’s long career.

This all came as Swift was spotted in a luxury box surrounded by many of her celebrity fans to watch as Kelce’s Chiefs played the New York Jets.

The tease helped to explain the backstory to this Chiefs-Jets game for Taylor Swift fans who may be unaware of them as Swift watched her new beau Travis Kelce play at MetLife Stadium

Swift songs such as 'Shake It Off', 'Fearless' and 'Wildest Dreams' were mentioned in the video

Swift songs such as ‘Shake It Off’, ‘Fearless’ and ‘Wildest Dreams’ were mentioned in the video

‘This guy. Travis Kelce. He plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, who are basically the next Great American Dynasty in the NFL,’ the video began.

‘On the other side, they’re these guys, the New York Jets. They’ve been left with a Blank Space after losing their star quarterback.

‘Sure, they’re going to try and Shake It Off, but against the defending Super Bowl champs, it’s probably not likely to happen. Maybe only in their Wildest Dreams.

‘The facts are, the Chiefs have a Fearless, magical Mastermind who likes to throw the ball to a guy with plenty of Style. So Swifties, this is Sunday Night Football.

‘We really hope something Enchanting makes you feel like this tonight. [insert video made to look like Swift and Kelce are looking at each other] Chiefs, Jets. Welcome To New York, everybody.’
