A ‘neighbour from hell’ was discovered hiding inside a mattress after police forced their way into his home. 

The tenant, who left his fellow residents’ lives in misery with his anti-social behaviour, was detained when officers stormed his home in Castle Bromwich, Solihull, West Midlands, today. 

Following the neighbour’s discovery, West Midlands Police released pictures of the hollowed-out bedding that he had used as hiding place.

Solihull Police wrote on Facebook: ‘Great work this morning as our officers found a tenant hiding in this mattress.

‘We forced our way in to the home in Castle Bromwich to issue a closure order because of its links to crime and anti-social behaviour.

‘The tenant’s now been removed and the property secured. If your life’s being blighted by anti-social behaviour, we can help.’

West Midlands Police also told the public on Twitter: ‘We forced into this home today to issue a closure order because of its links to crime and anti-social behaviour.

‘The tenant was found hiding in this mattress and removed from the home. Great teamwork from @RuralsWmp @ChelmsleyWMP and @engagementSCH.’

Following the tenant’s apprehension, social media users took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his residence. 

One amused social media user replied: ‘They like to keep their room tidy I see – good find – work.’ 

While another commented: ‘Love what they’ve done with the place…gone for the post conflict look.’

Another person added: ‘Wow they must of forgot to make the bed on the way put.’
