Neighbours star Alan Fletcher hints that Kylie Minogue could return to the soap opera for the anniversary special
Alan Fletcher has played Karl Kennedy on long-running soap Neighbours since 1994.
And with the show’s 40th anniversary coming up, Alan, 64, says viewers may be lucky enough to see Kylie Minogue made a return to her old soap stomping ground.
‘Maybe for the 40th anniversary she could make a cameo,’ he told Stellar Magazine on Saturday.

Alan added that Jason Donovan, who played Kylie’s love interest on the show, may also make a comeback.
‘She’s always expressed gratitude and fondness for Neighbours, as does Jason [Donovan] and many of the others,’ he said.
Kylie’s fans need not hold their breath as soap began airing in 1985, which means the 40th anniversary is still four years away.

The I Should Be So Lucky singer played Charlene Robinson on Neighbours between 1986 and 1988.
Her on-screen romance with Jason Donovan, who played Scott Robinson, was one of the most popular in the show’s history.
The pair are also two of the most iconic characters from Neighbours, both leaving the show to pursue successful pop careers.

She plans to continue dating her GQ executive boyfriend Paul Solomons, 46, who will stay in London.
While she didn’t confirm where exactly she plans to live, she will most likely settle in Melbourne – the city where she was born and where her family reside.
