Neighbours star Jodi Anasta has broken her silence about her recent break from filming, due to ‘exhaustion’.
The actress, 34, was forced by Channel 10 executives to take three weeks off last month, before she returned to the set of the soap on Friday.
‘I was just really run down,’ Jodi, who has played Elly Conway on the show since 2016, told 9Honey on Tuesday.

‘I was trying to push through, but everything builds and then you realise how exhausted you are and crumble a little bit.’
With filming based in Melbourne and Jodi living in Sydney, the actress explained that the constant travel and long days on set led to ‘exhaustion’.
‘I am in Melbourne four days a week and in Sydney three days every week, and it’s usually 12-hour days on set, so really huge days,’ she explained.

Returning to work at the Nunawading Studios in Melbourne on Friday, Jodi shared a glowing selfie in front of the iconic soap’s logo.
‘Great day back on set today with my Neighbours family,’ she captioned the post.
Last month, Channel 10 executives forced the actress to take the three-week break.

‘She’s just having a rest. She’s exhausted so she’s taking three weeks off,’ Jodi’s manager Sean Anderson said at the time.
‘She’s living between two cities, she’s also a single mum [to Aleeia] and there are challenges that come with it.’
Aleeia primarily lives with her father, retired NRL star Braith, to whom Jodi was married between 2012 and 2015.
Jodi flies into Sydney on weekends to see her daughter.
