The series, written for screen by a team of queer writers, promises a raw and authentic portrayal of gay adolescence.
It looks to shed some light on aspects of sexuality often overlooked in mainstream narratives.
The show looks to perfectly capture the essence of Sheppard’s celebrated 2019 novel.
Created for television by Logie and AACTA award-winning director Nicholas Verso (Nowhere Boys), the series is written by him alongside a powerhouse team.
The writing team consists of Walkley Award-winning writer Allan Clarke, Holden Sheppard, and Declan Greene, Artistic Director of Griffin Theatre.

A newly released trailer showcases the stars appearing in what looks to be a gripping drama set in Western Australia in 2017 during the same-sex marriage plebiscite
The show is produced by Tania Chambers OAM (Feisty Dame Productions) and Verso (Asphodel Films), and brought to life by Screen Australia, Stan, Screenwest, Lotterywest, and the WA Regional Screen Fund.
Chambers said viewers can expect an unflinching look at some of the challenging issues facing Australian teenagers today.
‘It’s crucial not only to entertain but also to address significant issues throughout the series,’ Chambers began.

‘Given the alarming rates of suicide and mental health struggles faced by young men, especially those in farming and rural communities, we aimed to incorporate these storylines in a way that is hopefully both relatable and insightful.’
It looks to be perfect viewing for fans of other Stan teen drama shows such as Bad Behaviour and Year Of.
All ten episodes of Invisible Boys will premiere on Thursday, February 13, only on Stan.
