Neil Patrick Harris enjoys a coastal walk with his husband and two kids

One big happy family! Neil Patrick Harris enjoys a coastal walk with his husband and two kids as the filming of AGT is put on hold amid COVID-19

Neil Patrick Harris has been stuck in Sydney due to the coronavirus pandemic.

And on Thursday, the American actor decided to make the most of the situation by enjoying a coastal walk with his husband David Burtka and their two children, Gideon and Harper.

The 48-year-old kept things casual in a hoodie, black shorts, running shoes, and a baseball cap.

Neil arrived Down Under last month to film Australia’s Got Talent, but the show has now been postponed due to coronavirus.

Channel Seven bosses decided on Monday evening to pull the plug in the wake of Sydney’s Covid-19 outbreak and subsequent statewide lockdown.

The news will be especially disappointing for AGT’s international judges, including Neil and English singer Alesha Dixon, who just last week emerged from a two-week stint in hotel quarantine ahead of filming.

‘Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions in Sydney, we have decided to postpone production of the new season of AGT to a date to be determined,’ a Seven spokesperson said.

‘A studio audience is a vitally important part of this much-loved show, so we have made the responsible but tough call to not go ahead for now.’

AGT was due to begin shooting last week at Rooty Hill RSL in Sydney, but filming was postponed due to the escalating Covid-19 situation and has now been called off entirely.

The show’s celebrity judges, also including radio host Kate Ritchie and actor Shane Jacobson, are all ‘expected to be paid in full’ for their time.

Former Australian Idol star Ricki-Lee Coulter was also to return as the show’s host.
