Netflix series with perfect Rotten Tomatoes score axed by streamer after three seasons – as devastated fans rage ‘why are you doing this?!’

A Netflix series has been given the boot after three seasons despite receiving a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Devastated fans expressed their frustration after hearing Blood Of Zeus will only be returning for one final season.

Creators of the hit show announced its axing at Comic-Con on Saturday and teased what is to come in the third season – which is expected to air in 2025. 

And upset fans claimed the announcement brought ‘tears to their eyes’ because of the show’s shock axing.

Fans wrote on X: ‘S2 was generational. Series Finale might bring tears to my eyes’,

‘Happy for a third season, sad it’s the last. Should have had 5 in total!’,

‘Stop that… what do you mean by third and final??? It has to get to season 5. We are hooked now’,

‘Final season? That’s upsetting but I’m happy for a season 3’,

‘Why you always do this Netflix? A person gets invested into a show and then it gets cancelled. This is very frustrating!’

Vlas Parlapanides and Charley Parlapanides said: ‘In Season Three, we are so excited to continue the story of Heron, Seraphim and the gods as they face their most dangerous adversaries yet, Typhon, Cronus and the Titans.’

Other details for the anticipated third season are yet to be announced.

Last week, Netflix posted on X: ‘The Gods will return. Blood of Zeus’s third and final season will bring the story of gods, mortals, and demons to an epic conclusion!’

Earlier this year, Rotten Tomatoes revealed that Blood Of Zeus season 2 received a perfect 100% and an adience score of 99%.

Netflix released its latest list of all the movies and TV series being removed from the streaming platform next month.

As August approaches viewers should get ready to say goodbye to some huge 2000s comedy films, including The Devil Wears Prada, The Guilt Trip and Easy A. 

So far Netflix have revealed they are axing a massive 35 films and TV shows through out next month. 

Netflix viewers should also be prepared to lose Brad Pitt’s 2016 World War II thriller Allied and 2021 sport drama King Richard which stars Will Smith and is based on the early lives of tennis legends Venus and Serena Williams.
