Network Ten ‘is pushing for Dr Chris Brown to be next year’s Bachelor’

Dr Chris Brown recently confirmed his split from girlfriend Kendall Bora.

And following rumours he could be next year’s Bachelor, Channel Ten executives are reportedly working overtime to convince him to sign up.

According to NW on Monday, the 40-year-old I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star is top of the network’s ‘wish list’ for season seven.

‘Producers know that girls and guys love him’: The Bachelor bosses keen for Dr Chris Brown to continue the ‘amazing success’ of celebrity suitors …following his split from Kendall Bora

‘Producers know that girls and guys love Chris,’ said an insider.

‘So it would be a great way to continue the amazing success they’ve been having with known celebrities becoming suitors.’

Interestingly, it appears that being 2019’s Bachelor would fit perfectly with Chris’ busy schedule.

Production for The Bachelor generally begins in late March, which is conveniently just after I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! wraps up in South Africa.

It comes after Dr Chris Brown brushed off rumours he could be the next Bachelor during an episode of Have You Been Paying Attention? last week.

During a light-hearted exchange with funnyman Ed Kavalee, Chris joked about being ’40, still single [and] with no children’.

Afterwards, he was gently ribbed by the panel of comedians about whether he would accept an offer to be the Bachelor.

‘Let’s not start that!’ Chris replied.

However, a conflicting report in this week’s New Idea suggested that Chris may no longer be single once The Bachelor starts filming next year.

A source claimed that he was ‘seeing’ his ex-girlfriend Kassandra Clementi again after splitting with Kendall, and that he ‘never stopped having feelings for her’.

Chris and Kassandra ended their two-year relationship back in 2015.

‘Since he quietly split from Kendall, he’s been talking to Kassandra more,’ said the insider. ‘He has realised that she is the love of his life, and that he wants her back.’

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Chris’s representatives for comment.
