New semi-automated VAR system was used for first time on Tuesday night to deny Chelsea a second-half equaliser againstΒ Dinamo Zagreb.
Ben Chilwell was spotted in offside position before he crossed for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to slot the ball the ball home at the far post.
However, the referee’s assistant flagged for offside and the decision was confirmed by the new technology.Β
