New Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse risks VERY awkward reception when she visits Blackpool for the live show after branding it the ‘UGLIEST town ever’

New Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse risks an awkward reception when she visits Blackpool for the live show later in the year after branding it ‘ugly’.

The professional dancer, 38, penned in her 2015 autobiography, Chili in the Blood,  that her experience in the seaside town as a ‘catastrophe’, when she visited for a dance tournament.

Oti Mabuse’s older sister Motsi compared Blackpool to ‘Ballermann’, which is reportedly an undesirable part of Palma in Mallorca, according to The Mirror.

Referencing to the long popular British tourist resort, Motsi wrote in her book: ‘Everyone knows the town, it is the ugliest which I have so far seen.’

‘Blackpool – Ballermann for the Londoners but a Mecca par excellence for tournament dancers.

‘After a few days and many training hours in London, I moved into a hotel room, which was real a catastrophe – even in comparison to the last one I had.

‘If anyone took a shower in the room above me, I could hear every single drop. I don’t even want to remember the other sounds I could hear.’

A source told the website: ‘Ballermann is a sub-culture for German chavs, where they go binge-drinking and for wild clubbing/sex parties in Mallorca.

‘It is basically the German equivalent of the Costa del Sol. Comparing Blackpool to Ballermann is therefore a very strong insult.’

Motsi will visit Blackpool once again later this year as she judges the annual live show from the prestigious Blackpool Tower Ballroom.

This comes as it was reported Motsi was at the heart of a row on the German version of the show, Lets Dance, after she was accused of ‘marking down’ a dancer.

The Sun claims the dance judge cost German actress Sophia Thomalla, 29, the win after giving her a nine for dancing barefoot during her routine.

Following the show, Sophia’s manager allegedly confronted Motsi when she was winding down at a hotel after the show with her then husband Timo Kulczak.

A source said: ‘Alain thought Motsi shouldn’t have marked Sophia down. He told her the remarks she made were ‘nonsense’.

‘He was very aggressive, so Timo told him to shut up and gave him the middle finger. From there the situation escalated badly.’

It has been reported that the two men got into an altercation in the reception area of the hotel and the couple later contacted police but no charges were brought.

Motsi has since divorced ex-husband Timo after falling for her new dance partner Evgenij Vozynuk, who she has now married.

She wrote in her autobiography: ‘I soon found him, the man I had signed my soul to. Evgenij Voznyuk….a man with very light skin and dark eyes…edgy, quiet, shy — basically, apart from the external similarities, the opposite of Timo.’
