An artist with a love of pop culture has been turning unloved works of art into modern masterpieces.
New York-based artist Dave Pollot revamps paintings from charity shops by incorporating characters from his favourite films and TV shows, including Star Wars, Stranger Things, Batman, The Simpsons and Dr Who.
He said: ‘I grew up in the ’80s and ’90s, so I love the movies and video games from that time period.’
Dave hopes his eclectic creations will appeal to both nerds and art lovers.
And his mash-ups are already proving to be extremely popular on the artisan platform Etsy, with over 12,500 sales to date.
