Zach Wilson’s enjoyed some of the best football of his career, as of late, but took his mind off the game by jetting off to Utah – his home state – during the Jets’ bye week with his girlfriend Nicolette Dellanno, but he still can’t resist picking up the pigskin!
On Saturday, Gang Green’s 24-year-old quarterback and Dellano – a model based in New Jersey – were snapped at Cornbelly’s – a corn maze and pumpkin fest in Lehi – by Wilson’s mother, Lisa, on Instagram, as spooky season nears.
The couple posed in front of the venue’s sign, which was made out of human skulls, as they coordinated outfit color combinations. The former first-round pick was also recorded throwing a football by his mom, at one point.
‘Like we don’t get enough football,’ she captioned her Instagram story of her son scanning the field.
Wilson and the Jets are at .500 with a 3-3 record following an impressive upset win over the Eagles last week.

Wilson during the Jets’ latest home – an impressive upset over the Eagles – at MetLife last week
The Jets’ No. 2, who became a starter after Aaron Rodgers went down with a tore Achilles in Week 1 – threw for 186 yards in New York’s last outing at MetLife Stadium – a 20-14 victory against Philadelphia.
‘This is a big win for us,’ Wilson said postgame. ‘This is an unbelievable team that I think you guys saw, that was a good team on that side of the ball and those guys did a great job up front, they did a great job in the secondary making it tough on us, not giving us easy ones.
‘We needed that win and I thought all the guys kept fighting, everyone kept fighting.’
Over the last six games, Wilson has thrown a total of 1,097 passing yards for four touchdowns and five interceptions.
What’s more, is that he has completed more than 70 percent of his passes in each of his past two starts, including going 19 of 26 (73.1 percent) at Denver on Oct. 8, and 28 of 39 (71.8 percent) vs. Kansas City, earlier this month. He’s moving the offense consistently and making the short throws — something that was a major problem his first two NFL seasons.
Wilson & Dellanno jetted off to the Bahamas before the start of football season in the summer
The couple started dating in June of 2022, it’s been believed, as Wilson’s hit a purple patch
‘I think everybody has different reasons for that,’ said Nathaniel Hackett – the Jets’ offensive coordinator. ‘For our system, on the foundation of what it was built is all your footwork. Your footwork and understanding of the decision and the timing. That leads to your accuracy.
‘So, for us, for him to be able to take the proper footwork and get the ball out before any pass rush can even get to you accurately and efficiently, is what we’re always aiming for.’
That was a focus of Wilson’s mental and physical reset after last season, and the quarterback attributes being able to improve in that area to watching and learning from Rodgers as well as the coaching of Hackett, quarterbacks coach Rob Calabrese and passing game coordinator Todd Downing.
‘Your feet tell a story every single play and trusting in that is something we are always working to rep,’ Wilson said.
He has relied on the support of his family and Dellanno, whom he’s been dating since June of 2022, while hitting a purple patch.
Before the start of the season, the couple vacationed in the Bahamas in the summer. The Jets will next take on the Giants on Sunday, October 29.
