The New York City administrative judge caught cursing out a female police officer on camera after she didn’t recognize him at a security checkpoint has officially retired.
Fidel Del Valle, who served as chief judge and commissioner of the city’s Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings for more than four years, resigned on Friday.
His departure came nine months after his f-bomb-laced verbal barrage of an NYPD officer.
The profane encounter took place on November 13 when Valle arrived at city hall ahead of a Puerto Rican heritage event and passed through a security booth without identifying himself.
The female officer, who was working security detail, stopped the judge and asked him who he was.
‘I come here every f***ing day!’ Valle replied. ‘Do you want to keep your job?’

The situation escalated when a rookie male officer confronted the judge and told him the encounter was being recorded on the officer’s body camera.
‘Listen babe, I don’t give a f***! Do you know who I am? Who the f*** do you think you are?’ Valle responded.
The New York Daily News reports the female officer reported the incident to her superior, Inspector Howard Redmon, who told her not to pursue her complaint in an attempted cover up.
NYPD administrators eventually became aware of the situation and Valle took a leave of absence a month later.
Deputy commissioner and general counsel Tynia Richard has been servicing as acting commissioner in Valle’s place since December.
Mayor Bill de Blasio first appointed Valle was to the administrative position in 2014.
