  • Mother-of-three continued to hunt while pregnant, to provide organic meat
  • She and her partner, Sharn, hunt up to eight times a month with their children

A hunter and mother-of-three has been subjected to death threats after posting raunchy images of herself posing with dead animals.

Lucy Rose Jaine, 29, from Wanaka in New Zealand, began hunting when she met her boyfriend, Sharn Stewart, and quickly fell in love with it.

The house painter and full-time mother often shares pictures of herself dressed in short shorts and a crop top smiling as she holds a dead animal covered in blood.

However, since she started sharing pictures of the animals she has killed on Instagram she has received an onslaught of backlash from animal lovers.

Ms Jaine’s Instagram is filled with hundreds of vile comments telling her to die.

‘What a disgusting life you must have to take pictures with poor animals that you kill and be proud of it,’ one person wrote.

‘True psychopath’s smile. I’d love to see your smile if someone shot your dogs. Oh no, wait, you’d probably still be smiling! Cause you don’t have a heart, you c***,’ another wrote.

‘You will perish in hell,’ another said.

But Ms Jaine has fired back, claiming what she does is far more humane than buying meat from the supermarket.

‘I’m not into participating with factory farming, I feel like it’s bad for the environment and the animals themselves,’ she told 1News.

‘I sort of find it weird that people don’t have a problem with going to the supermarket and buying meat that’s all packaged and has been killed by someone else but they seem to have no issue with me killing it myself.’

Ms Jaine goes hunting with her partner and their children, Indie, seven, Kahu, four, and Daisy, five months, about five times a month.

She said that her children ‘love the adventure’ and she was still hunting when she nine months pregnant.

They mainly kill wild pigs, deer, goats and rabbits to fill their freezer.

Ms Jaine estimates she saves about $300NZD ($283AUD) per month through hunting animals for meat.

‘We gut, skin and clean the animals. Then we cut it up and pop it in the freezer to eat.

‘The kids love the adventure. We don’t do screens in our family. Being in the wilderness so much really sparks their imaginations.’
