A mother-of-two bought a Christmas-themed DVD for her four-year-old son – before she was shocked to find out it was actually hardcore pornography.

Brittany Williams from Auckland, New Zealand, is planning to lodge a complaint with police after her young son watched 15 minutes of pornography, according to the New Zealand Herald.

Ms Williams said her son was excited to put on the Christmas DVD she had bought in a bargain bin at a rental store for $1 – but he was then subjected to 15 minutes of images of men and women having sex and using sex toys.

‘It was a full-on raging porno from the 80s,’ she said.

She said her son watched about 15 minutes of the DVD before she noticed the explicit material he was privy to.

Ms Williams bought the DVD from the Good2go convenience and video hire store in Auckland.

The store’s owner Raj Patel said he apologised to Ms Williams when she went back to the shop.

‘I have apologised to her and straight away – withing five seconds – the DVD was broken and put into the bin,’ he said.

He believed someone had dubbed over the DVD with the pornographic material.

He also accused Ms Williams of bringing his business into disrepute.

‘If she is trying to say our business is at fault we are not at fault. We will take action against her for discriminating us.’

Mr Patel also threatened legal action against Ms Williams.

Ms Williams said the incident has scarred her son, who now constantly asks if any movie they watch is ‘going to be another naked DVD’.

‘It’s revolting. It’s not okay,’ she said.
