Newborn twin boys won’t stop crying unless they’re together

A set of newborn twin boys who were briefly separated at birth wouldn’t stop crying until they were reunited again.

Shortly after their birth on February 28, Weston and Caleb Lyman from Orlando, Florida were captured on camera by their dad Dane, who is a medical student at the University of Central Florida.

‘Feeling quite grateful this Easter Sunday. 5 weeks ago our twin boys Weston and Caleb joined the club. Shortly after delivery, I captured this sweet video of them comforting each other,’ Dane shared on his Facebook in April.

In the sweet but slightly-loud video, the baby boys can be seen crying hysterically when one of the medical staff tries to move one away from the other.

However, when the babies were returned to each other and had skin-to-skin contact, they immediately stopped screaming.

‘My wife Lisa wasn’t able to see that and didn’t even know it was happening. When I showed her, she was emotional and grateful I captured that moment. We both still tear up when we watch it,’ Dane told Yahoo Lifestyle of the heart-warming exchange between the tots, who are now 11 weeks old.

Dane and Lisa, a trained nurse who is currently staying at home to look after her family, are also parents to girls Corrine and Amelia. Although the boys were born four weeks premature, they were healthy and had a smooth delivery.

‘Their sisters cannot get enough of them! Lisa and I are smitten as well. I love my family,’ Dane shared.

The dad-of-four also detailed that he hopes the close bond his boys have will help them as parents and continue through their lives.

‘One of our greatest hopes, when we found out we were having twins, was that, as they grew, they would be good friends and support one another. Seeing them comfort each other just moments after birth was almost like the first step in that special relationship,’ he added to News Center Maine.

On Facebook, he added: ‘It’s a little strange seeing them get this kind of attention; we just hope they brighten someone’s day. They sure brighten ours!’
