Newly-released bodycam footage shows Odell Beckham Jr. being removed from November flight

Newly released police footage shows NFL free agent Odell Beckham Jr. belligerently cursing at passengers aboard a taxiing American Airlines flight at Miami International Airport and refusing to leave the aircraft after allegedly telling the flight crew that he was recovering from a night at the club.

The plane’s crew also told officers that the 30-year-old wide receiver removed his pants at his seat prior to take-off on the November 27 flight.

‘They said he took off his pants,’ an officer is heard saying on the police body cam. ‘He was in underwear. He told the [flight attendant] that he’s been clubbing all night. He’s either drunk, or both: pills and drunk.’

As was reported back in November, Beckham was removed from the flight after allegedly refusing to put his seatbelt as the plane was about to depart, according to Miami police. However, Beckham’s attorney Daniel Davilier, released a statement at the time disputing police claims that his client was at fault for the hour-and-half delay that resulted in the entire plane being forced to deboard.

‘Shut the f*** up’ Beckham yelled at one man seated behind him after being told to ‘just get off the plane.’

Another passenger soon became the focus of Beckham’s wrath.

‘You can look at me all you want,’ Beckham said to the passenger. ‘This s*** don’t bother me.

‘I would never, ever in my life, get off the plane for you – specifically you,’ Beckham continued. ‘Maybe for everyone else, I would get off the plane.

‘You gonna wait 40 minutes, and I’m going to be on a private plane home, with your fat ass. Get your ass off the plane.

‘Enjoy the cheese board on the way home with your ugly ass.’

Beckham has not faced any consequences over the incident, which came as he was set to do a three-city free-agency tour as he continued to recover from off-season knee surgery. The former LSU star has been out of action since tearing the ACL in his left knee while playing for the Los Angeles Rams in last February’s Super Bowl win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Police were called by concerned flight attendants on Sunday after the 30-year-old Beckham was reportedly 'coming in and out of consciousness'

The footage begins with police, fire rescue, and the flight crew checking on Beckham, who appears groggy and annoyed.

‘Do you know where you’re at sir?’ one voice is heard asking.

‘You’ve been unresponsive’ Beckham is told later.

A discussion between the flight crew and fire rescue personnel ensues, with the fire crew official telling attendants that the decision to remove Beckham from the aircraft was up to them.

‘He told her he just came from a club,’ one male flight attendant said, referring to Beckham and a female co-worker. ‘And he’s taken something.’

One female flight attendant shared her concerns about traveling with Beckham.

‘He’s mad at us because we called you,’ she said. ‘We said ‘we’re worried about you.’ I don’t know if he’s going to deteriorate when we’re in the air.’

One officer then explained the protocol for dealing with a passenger that refused to get off the plane.

‘We have a procedure that we have to follow,’ the officer said. ‘If he refuses to get off, we’re going to have to deboard everybody.’

In a departure from his exchanges with fellow passengers, Beckham was respectful with officers, shaking their hands and expressing his frustration in a low, raspy tone.

For that matter, both police and EMTs were respectful towards Beckham as they tried to determine if he was having any health issues.

‘What we’re going to do is just check your blood pressure… and your blood sugar,’ an EMT said. ‘Sorry you’re having a bad day.’

At one point an officer checked with his colleague to make sure his body camera was operating: ‘Is your camera on? Because this is going to be a media circus. They’re all going to want to know what really happened.’

Beckham’s identify as an NFL star surfaces throughout the footage.

‘He’s Odell Beckham,’ said one officer.

‘Oh my God!’ fire rescue crew member exclaimed on the jetway. ‘Can I get his signature?’

One officer asked: ‘Suspended, though, isn’t he?’

His partner then corrected him: ‘No, he’s not playing. Nobody’s picked him up.’

The video ends with officers explaining to Beckham that his checked baggage was flying ahead to Los Angeles while he rebooked his travel itinerary.

The flight was scheduled to take off at 9:30am from Miami on November 27, but was delayed for nearly an hour and 30 minutes before. Passengers were forced off the plane after Beckham refused after multiple requests.

Beckham, meanwhile, tweeted the following Sunday: ‘Never in my life have I experienced what just happened to me… I’ve seen it alll..’

He then tweeted ‘Never. In. My. Life’ and ‘I COULD NEVER MAKE THIS UP.’
