Niamh Finneran Loader, 25, had flown to the tourist hot spot on November 26, but was found dead inside the bathroom of the Kuta-Bali Famous Hotel on December 2

The heartbroken family of an Australian university student who mysteriously died in Bali are no closer to knowing what happened to her after an autopsy failed to reveal a cause of death.

Niamh Finneran Loader, 25, flew to the tourist hotspot on November 26 for a holiday and some simple dental work but was found dead inside the bathroom of the Kuta-Bali Famous Hotel on December 2.

Her sudden death following the minor dental procedure has left her devastated family and authorities baffled.

An autopsy was carried out at Bali’s Sanglah Hospital earlier this week but Denpasar Police chief Bambang Yugo Pamungkas said it was inconclusive.

‘We have received the autopsy report and interviewed the forensic doctor last week,’ he said on Monday.

‘But he was unable to determine the cause of death based on the toxicology and pathology test results.’

Kuta Police Chief Yogie Pramagita said earlier his officers had inspected the room where Ms Loader had been staying and questioned at least seven people including hotel staff, the dentist and a tattoo artist.

Engineers found her lifeless body when they entered her room to fix the air-conditioning.

Her father Malcolm Loader earlier told the West Australian his daughter was ‘very happy’ with the results of the ‘minor’ dental procedure she received.

‘The police are currently investigating… we have no idea (of what caused her death) at this stage,’ Mr Loader said.
