Nick Kyrgios posts a cryptic tweet from hotel quarantine after row with girlfriend

Tennis bad boy Nick Kyrgios posted a cryptic tweet from hotel quarantine early Monday morning, just days after police were forced to intervene in his blazing row with on-again-off-again girlfriend Chiara Passari.

‘Those people you know are cut from the same cloth,’ the former World No. 13 tweeted to his 441,200 followers, adding a series of exasperated emojis.

While the meaning of the tweet is unclear, the 26-year-old sportsman was almost certainly referring to his tumultuous romance with Ms Passari.

The tweet comes after Kyrgios and Passari clashed in hotel quarantine in Adelaide on Thursday, resulting in police being called to the scene.

Their dispute began when Passari accused her boyfriend of cheating on her, and shared a photo to Instagram purporting to show him in bed with a ‘naked girl’.

The social media drama resulted in a ‘verbal argument’ between the pair in their hotel suite, with police eventually forced to separate them into different rooms.

Ms Passari later made a series of wild allegations about Kyrgios and posted screenshots of heated text messages they allegedly sent each other after their fight.

A South Australia Police spokesperson confirmed the incident to Daily Mail Australia on Friday morning.

‘In the afternoon of Thursday 7 October 2021, police were alerted to a verbal argument between two occupants within a Medi-hotel,’ they said.

‘An investigation was conducted, no offences were disclosed and both parties will now spend the remainder of their quarantine in separate rooms.’

The saga began during an Instagram Q&A on Thursday when Ms Passari was asked by a fan: ‘What happened that fateful night at 161 nightclub?’

This was a reference to Melbourne nightclub OneSixOne where Kyrgios had allegedly partied until the early hours back in February.

She responded by sharing the photo of a shirtless and sleeping Kyrgios, adding the caption: ‘That girl naked in bed with him isn’t me by the way… Hope that clears it up.’

Another fan later asked Ms Passari if she was still in quarantine with Kyrgios and she revealed they had been separated into different hotel rooms by police following an argument.

SA Police subsequently confirmed the couple were moved to separate rooms.

In a series of leaked texts Ms Passari posted on Instagram afterwards, the pair agreed to no longer live together.

‘Can you get your stuff out my house?’ one message read, while another suggested a shared laptop would have to be returned.

Ms Passari also made several explosive allegations about Kyrgios that cannot be published for legal reasons.

The on-off couple will be leaving hotel quarantine in the coming days and it remains to be seen if they will reconcile or end their relationship for good.

This is just the latest chapter in the couple’s turbulent love story.

Passari, who began dating Kyrgios in July last year, raised eyebrows in August when she uploaded – then deleted – a series of cryptic Instagram posts.

Her first post was re-shared from an alternative wellness account.

It read: ‘Life has a funny way of working itself out. Let what’s meant to be, be and what’s meant to leave, leave.’

The model followed this with a Boomerang clip of an outdoor swimming pool, adding the caption: ‘Boundaries… They’re a funny thing.’

This also isn’t the first time rumours have swirled about Kyrgios and Passari breaking up.

On February 2, Passari sparked split whispers after she uploaded a cryptic Instagram post that read: ‘Cheaters always want you to be loyal while they’re being unfaithful.’

There is no suggestion Passari was referring to Kyrgios in this post.

The pair unfollowed each other on Instagram at the time, and Kyrgios also appeared to have deleted multiple loved-up photos of the couple.

He subsequently made the photos visible again, and confirmed they were still together at a tennis game by writing a sweet message to Passari on a camera lens.

The duo went on to make amends, but the latest incident in hotel quarantine may well be the last straw for the warring lovers.

The pair started dating in July last year, just three months after Kyrgios split from Russian tennis player Anna Kalinskaya.
