Nicole Kidman and Liev Schreiber are set to star in the Netflix’s The Perfect Couple

Nicole Kidman and Liev Schreiber are set to star in Netflix’s new limited series, The Perfect Couple. 

The Eyes Wide Shut actress, 55, and the Ray Donovan star, 55, will lead the star-studded adaptation of the thriller novel of the same name by Elin Hilderbrand. 

Kidman will play murder-mystery novelist Greer Garrison Winbury as she plans a wedding for her son and future daughter-in-law, played by Eve Hewson. 

The plot follows Hewson’s character, Amelia Sacks, as she is about to marry into one of the wealthiest families on Nantucket when a dead body turns up on the beach. 

As the plot unfolds, everyone is a suspect in an investigation that plays out like one of the mystery novels Kidman’s character would write.

The mother of four – who shares her older children, Isabella, 30, and Connor, 28, with ex-husband Tom Cruise, and younger girls Sunday, 14, and Faith, 12, with country crooner Keith Urban – recently wrapped filming on her latest spy thriller project Lioness in Spain.

The Oscar winner will star as savvy CIA agent Kaitlyn Meade in the action series which also stars Zoe Saldana. 

Schreiber – who has two kids with Naomi Watts – will play the groom’s father, Tag Winbury, in a cast that includes Dakota Fanning, Billy Howle, Meghann Fahy, Ishaan Khattar, and Jack Reynor. 

Production will begin on the series in April, with Jenna Lamia serving as showrunner and executive producer and Susanne Bier directing and executive producing.

The original author Hilderbrand will also executive produce the series along with Shawn Levy and Josh Barry of 21 Laps Entertainment.  

When he is not acting in roles such as former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger in the recently released Golda or the upcoming comedy Asteroid City with Tom Hanks, Margo Robbie, and Hong Chau, Liev has been focused on raising funds for the people of Ukraine.

The actor has formed an organization called Blue Check with friends. 

The non-profit provides humanitarian aid to non-governmental organizations in Ukraine.

The help raise funds for the group, the A Small Light actor has formed a partnership with the Sláinte whiskey company, selling a limited edition bottle of 18-year-old Irish Whiskey for $499 a bottle, according to Esquire.

One dollar from each bottle of the more affordable ‘smooth blend,’ which sells for $38, will also go to charity. 

He also teamed up with the non-profit United24 at the request of Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky. He is working to help raise funds for hospital generators. 

‘A lot of my energy is going to this right now,” he says. “But it doesn’t feel difficult. It feels good.’
