No more boring breakfasts: How to make TIRAMISU overnight oats – and it’s the perfect healthy morning treat

A woman has shared how to make healthy tiramisu overnight oats that require no baking and will become your new breakfast go-to.  

Sydney foodie, Sophie, who goes by ‘Coconut and bliss’ online, uses only eight ingredients and a simple method to create the coffee flavoured dish. 

Sophie begins by adding half a cup of oats to a bowl then pours in half a cup of milk and adds half a table spoon of maple syrup.

Next she pours in one shot of espresso or instant coffee to the bowl, along with one teaspoon of vanilla extract. 

It is optional but Sophie also recommends adding one teaspoon of almond extract to the mixture as well. 

She mixes the oat and espresso mixture well and lets the bowl sit aside while the topping is made. 

Tiramisu overnight oats recipe: 

  1. Add  half a cup of oats to a bowl and pour in half a cup of milk.
  2. Pour half a tablespoon of maple syrup, one shot of espresso or instant coffee and one teaspoon of vanilla extract into the bowl. 
  3. Mix the espresso and oat mixture well and sit to the side.
  4. Add one third cup of Greek or coconut yoghurt to a seperate bowl and pour half a teaspoon of maple syrup, mix well. 
  5. Spoon the creamy yoghurt mixture on top of the oats and place inside the fridge overnight.
  6. Dust the top of overnight oats with cacao powder in the morning when the oats are creamy and enjoy.

To make the creamy tiramisu topping Sophie adds one third cup of Greek yoghurt or coconut yoghurt to a separate bowl. 

To the yoghurt of choice she adds half a teaspoon of maple syrup and mixes well to combine. 

Finally she spoons on the creamy yoghurt mixture on top of the oats and places into the fridge overnight.
