A young boy has been taken to hospital after he was hit by a car in Sydney’s west. 

The child was hit by the vehicle at White Gum Place, in North Kellyville at around 10:35am on Saturday. 

Paramedics from NSW Ambulance arrived at the scene and took the boy to Westmead Children’s Hospital, where he is believed to be in a serious but stable condition.

The five-year-old boy suffered pelvic injuries. 

NSW police told Daily Mail Australia the child came in front of the car, as the driver was pulling out.

‘Officers attached to the Hills Police Area Command attended and located a five-year-old injured after being hit by a grey Mercedes SUV,’ the spokesperson said. 

‘Police were told that the boy ran in front of the SUV being driven by a 41-year-old woman, who was moving her car at the time of incident.’ 

‘The 41-year-old woman underwent a roadside breath test at the scene, which returned a negative result’.
