Red Rooster fans are going wild for a homebrand sauce that they claim mimics the taste of the popular Rippa Sub sauce.
Sold in a 360g bottle at Coles for just $2.75, shoppers have claimed the supermarket’s ‘Pickle’naise’ is a replica of the fast food store’s sauce.
Mumspo Magazine shared a photo of bottles of the sauce on shelves to Facebook, and consumers were quick to share their enthusiasm.
It comes a year after Coles launched their ‘Special Burger Sauce’ which McDonald’s fans claim tastes exactly like the Big Mac sauce.

‘A new find, pickle ‘naise. Tastes EXACTLY like the Red Rooster Rippa Sub sauce, run don’t walk!’ Mumspo Magazine shared online.
‘What pickle loving friend of yours needs this?’ they added.
The Coles brand sauce consists of a mayonnaise with added dill pickle.
Shoppers were quick to share their enthusiasm, with one writing: ‘Oh my god. Shut up and take my money’.

In January last year, a Coles spokesperson could not confirm whether the sauce was intended as a Big Mac imitation, BuzzFeed reported.
However the spokesperson did say: ‘Our product development team worked on the sauce for 18 months … [we are] closely monitoring emerging food trends.’
