NRL: Manu Feildel goes ballistic at Rabbitohs junior son, 18, for failing drug test

MKR star Manu Feildel goes ballistic as his son, 18, tells him he ruined his career with the South Sydney Rabbitohs by failing a drug test

Manu Feildel’s son Jonti played a brutal prank on his father on Friday morning when he convinced the My Kitchen Rules star he’d failed a drug test.

The 18-year-old, who just signed with the South Sydney Rabbitohs’ junior division, told the celebrity chef, 48, he’d ruined his NRL career before it had even begun after a wild weekend doing drugs.

But it was all a prank orchestrated by The Kyle and Jackie O Show because Jonti wanted to get his dad riled up.

Jonti told radio hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson he was nervous about calling his fiery French father because ‘I feel like he’s going to blow up’.

After some encouragement, he called the restaurateur, who was asleep in his hotel in New Zealand where he had been filming.

‘I f**ked up, dad. Next week, the Bunnies are going to drug test us,’ Jonti began.

He continued: ‘I went and smoked weed with my friends last weekend so I’m not sure if it’s going to be in my system or not.’

At this point, Feildel went ballistic as he scolded his son: ‘Come on, bro. Come on. F**k. F**k, Jonti. F**k, f**k, f**k, Jonti. Come on. S**t, bro.

‘We’ve talked about this. Think about your freaking career, man. I don’t want to tell you off, Jonti. I really don’t want to tell you off, but you know you’ve got to grow up.’

Feildel went on to say he already thought Jonti’s drinking was too much and tried not to judge it, ‘but now you’re smoking f**king reefer. What’s next? F**k.’

After some more back and forth, Feildel eventually calmed down and told Jonti he understood what it was like to be an 18-year-old making mistakes.

But when Jonti asked his dad to pee in the cup for him so he could pass the upcoming drug test, Feildel was adamant his son would have to take responsibility for his actions, even if it meant losing his spot on the team.

‘At the end of the day it’s a good f**king slap in the face. A good f**king lesson for the future,’ he said.

It was at this point Sandilands and Henderson interrupted to reveal the whole thing was a lie and Jonti hadn’t been taking drugs.

Feildel sounded relieved as he responded: ‘You bunch of w**kers. Oh, my God. I was just about to cry.’

Feildel did 'blow up' when Jonti told him he 'f**ked up', but admitted he 'was just about to cry' when Kyle and Jackie O interrupted to reveal it was all a prank
