NRL staff evacuated from Sydney offices after bomb scare

  • After half an hour, the area was pronounced all clear and staff returned to work

Police cars rushed to the NRL’s head offices at in Sydney’s eastern suburbs at 2.45pm on Friday amid reports of a bomb threat in the building.

Seven vehicles dispatched more than 20 officers and dogs from the bomb squad to the Sydney Football Stadium on Moore Park Road, Moore Park.

Staff were evacuated for about half an hour while the situation was assessed, and were then cleared to return to their offices at 3.15pm.
