NTAs 2020: Holly Willoughby, Chloe Sims and Ferne McCann make bleary-eyed exits

It was a night to remember for the stars of the small screen and the celeb attendees of Tuesday night’s National Television Awards celebrated in style.

Holly Willoughby, 38, celebrated This Morning’s win at London’s 02 Arena, looking worse for wear as she struggled to make a elegant exit in her huge pink satin gown.

Some of the night’s other attendees were looking even more bleary-eyed as the celebrations continued into the night at official afterparty held at the capital’s Intercontinental Hotel.

Holly was spotted bundling her large pink princess tulle skirt into a taxi as she made her way home for the  NTAs after party, struggling to fit the tulle skirt into the backseat.

The This Morning presenter lost out to best pals Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly for the Best TV presenter Award but stole the show in the strapless dress, which had a tailored pink pleated bodice and voluminous tulle skirt.

The presenter held on to her clutch bag and avoided the revolving doors in an effort not to get her large dress stuck.

She appeared to be in high spirits as she was laughed  with photographers and gestured for a helping hand with her dress.

She and her dress eventually made it safely into the car, with the blonde being driven away to get a few hours shut eye before work.

With Holly and co-presenter Phil notorious for their post NTA antics the pair will no doubt be nursing sore heads for Wednesday’s This Morning, celebrating after the ITV show scooped top prize in the Live Magazine Show category for the tenth year.

Love Island’s Jack Fincham had more reasons to celebrate than most, as he enjoyed his first wild night out since his shock announcement last week that he had become a dad.

The proud new father partied into the night with Love Island pals Eyal Booker and Alex Bowen, looking in good spirits as he leaned on his friends during a stumble to the taxi.

Jack revealed on Instagram over the weekend that he had welcomed a daughter, named Blossom with long-time friend Casey Ranger.

Maya Jama looked to have had a very good night as she made a bleary-eyed exit from the awards after-party at London’s Hotel Intercontinental.

The presenter, 25, looked worse-for-wear as she kicked off her elegant strappy stiletto sandals and opted for a pair of hotel slippers while waving gleefully at snappers.

The star couldn’t keep the smile off her face as she closed her eyes and climbed into her car, while waving goodbye at fans.

Maya also struck a variety of sultry poses in the street, bending over and cracking a merry smile before clambering into the car.

Maya had donned an elegant white thigh-split gown for the evening which left her nearing a wardrobe malfunction as she climbed into the car.

The star was also battling the elements as her tresses whipped across her face as she posed, while holding onto her handbag and heels.

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly made history at the National Television Awards on Tuesday as they won the Best Presenter Award for the nineteenth year in a row.

This Morning was also a big winner of the night, with Holly Willoughby, 38, and Phillip Schofield, 57, rejoicing with glee as they kept their decade long reign as Best Daytime Show.

The This Morning win, however, came with a tinge of behind-the-scenes scandal, as presenters Holly and Phil accepted the gong next to Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes, who are said to be in the midst of a major feud with Phil.

Fellow nominees Bradley Walsh, Graham Norton, Holly and Phillip jokingly rolled their eyes as iconic TV duo Ant and Dec, both 44, took to the stage at the O2 Arena to receive their Best Presenter accolade.

Drag Race UK’s Michelle Visage presented the award to Ant and Dec, who told the audience they were ‘grateful and humble’ to continue their reign as Best Presenter.

As well as scooping the prize for Best Presenters, Ant and Dec were also presented the Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award for I’m A Celebrity – which they dedicated to those who have battled the bush fires in Australia.

They were joined on stage by the jungle class of 2019, with reigning Queen Of The Jungle Jacqueline Jossa dubbing the duo ‘the nicest guys in television’.

Another big winner on the night was Jesy Nelson, who broke down in tears when she scooped a trophy in the Factual category for her documentary Odd One Out.

The Little Mix star admitted she was ‘overwhelmed’ as she accepted the top prize for her heart-wrenching film, which focused on the bullying and trolling she endured since rising to fame.

Peaky Blinders scooped the Best Drama award – and Best Dramatic Performance award for star Cillian Murphy – while Mrs Brown’s Boys took the gong for Comedy.

Hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman hugged as they graciously took to the stage with the Strictly cast after winning Best Talent Show.

Coronation Street star Katie McGlynn took home the Serial Drama gong, delivering a stirring speech, dedicating it to her late grandfather.

The Impact Award was bestowed upon sitcom Gavin & Stacey, which returned this Christmas for a one-off special, attracting 18million viewers.
