Tottenham’s director of football Fabio Paratici ‘STORMED out of his seat’ during their dismal loss to Manchester United and was left ‘furious’ before sacking Nuno Espirito Santo as the Italian looks to hire Antonio Conte
Tottenham director of football Fabio Paratici was ‘furious’ during the team’s woeful 3-0 loss to Manchester United, storming out of his seat at the club’s stadium and failing to return, according to reports.
The dismal result proved to be the final straw for coach Nuno Espirito Santo, who was sacked on Monday morning after just four months following a string of concerning performances – with fans calling for the Portuguese to be axed.
Paratici and chairman Daniel Levy were both alarmed by the nature of the defeat and felt the impact of supporters’ discontent, and opted to pull the trigger on their new coach after just ten Premier League games, and the Italian chief was reportedly seen venting his fury during the game that proved to be Nuno’s last in charge.

Sportsmail understands Paratici, who joined Spurs alongside Levy this summer after leaving Juventus, is working on a deal to appoint former Chelsea and Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte as Nuno’s successor.
The club failed to land Conte at the start of the season after he raised concerns about the project and the funding he would be given should he take charge – but there is now confidence that a deal can be struck.
