‘The foam nail drying separators do not work and I will try toe socks next but only if I can find ones that look like they will create the right pressure, she added in the caption.

The unusual video has been viewed more than 7.2 million times and has received over 18,000 comments from stunned viewers.

‘I’m not usually shocked… my jaw dropped,’ one person wrote, while someone else admitted,’ I wasn’t expecting this.’

‘This is strange but also seems like it would be a pleasant sensation,’ another shared.

However, there were also a number of people who could relate to Taylor’s need to have paper napkins between her toes while she is sleeping.

‘Why do I understand this,’ one viewer asked.

‘Thought I was the only one,’ someone else commented.

‘I prefer cables. Like, the one for my iPhone or laptop. Feels nice,’ another agreed.

Taylor later revealed that the need to have something between her toes has to do with her mental health.

‘For several months, beginning in about November 2022, I suddenly started feeling the urge to find some sort of pressure I could apply in between my toes every night as I tried to fall asleep,’ she told NeedToKnow.online.

‘For a while, forcing my big toes in between other toes until I fell asleep worked. But after about two months, a small lesion appeared in between one of my toes that seemed to be the result of me pushing too hard with my toes. That was when I realized I really needed a better solution.’

Taylor first thought of trying the foam toe separators that are typically used during pedicures, but they didn’t work for her. That’s when she decided to try the napkins.

‘One night, I planned on looking for toe socks, but I didn’t have time to go out and get any,’ she explained. ‘The next night, as a temporary solution, I had the idea to fold up the McDonald’s napkins I had on my bedside table and use those between my toes until I could find toe socks.

Taylor added that she has since found a better solution to help herself sleep, but she still has a stack of McDonald's napkins on hand at all times just in case

‘After probably two nights of wearing the McDonald’s napkins between my toes to sleep at night, I realized just how absurd it was.

Taylor added that she has since found a better solution to help herself sleep, but she still has a stack of McDonald’s napkins on hand at all times just in case.

‘I’ve built up months’ worth of napkins from going to McDonald’s an embarrassingly high amount when I am working,’ she said. ‘I likely won’t need to get more as I’ve started sleeping with foot alignment socks.

‘I have been sleeping with those since, and they seem to be doing the trick. After posting the video a lot of the commenters were confused and/or laughing at it.

‘But there are also, surprisingly, a lot that relate to wanting something between their toes and were wanting to know more about why I did this in the first place.’
