O2 customers up and down the country have been left frustrated today as many struggled to make calls as the network faced a nationwide outage.

Disgruntled phone users took to social media to voice their concerns as many claimed even turning their phone off and on again didn’t fix the problem.

O2’s live network checker this afternoon stated it was aware of an issue in some parts of the country and that its technical teams were investigating.

The issues started for those on the network at about 11am and many struggled to make calls, with some also not being able to make calls through their WiFI connections.

It is thought customers are still able to text and to use their 4G.
