As of Monday afternoon, the tweet about their interaction has more than 1,000 retweets and nearly 7,000 likes.

‘I am a huge Raiders fan. I didn’t take his order but I helped make his order,’ Contreras told the Fresno Bee.

‘He caught all of us by surprise because our handheld worker (the person who takes his order outside) didn’t know who he was. When he went to pay at the first window the worker there let all of us know.’

Carr is often seen taking time out to spend with his fans, snapping pictures and autographing balls or other gear.

Carr’s trainer poked fun at the athlete, whose order was two cheeseburgers and a chocolate shake.

However, Carr’s wife, Heather, owned up to the cheat day on Twitter, replying: ‘[It] was my fault Eric I can guarantee you he didn’t even have a bite it was for me #DontTellMyTrainer #YouCaughtMe #IllRunExtra.’
