Octomom teases appearance on Dr. Oz and launches a YouTube channel

‘Octomom’ has revealed an upcoming appearance on the Dr. Oz Show, and launched her own YouTube channel.

Natalie Suleman, 42, will appear on Mehmet Oz’s popular daytime lifestyle show on May 3, the mother-of-14 revealed on her Instagram page on Wednesday, along with a picture posing with Oz.

In 2009, Oz called Suleman ‘reckless’ for having octuplets via in vitro fertilization when she was unemployed and already the mother of six young children. She has explained she didn’t want any of her frozen embryos to be destroyed.

Suleman also used the post to tout her new YouTube channel, which is named Soloman Family for reasons that are unclear. Suleman previously changed her first name from Nadya to Natalie.

‘Before I let my children take over the channel with fun actives, such as vegan food challenges, vlogs, grocery shopping, ect. I will soon be uploading my testimony,’ Suleman wrote in a description of the first video.

The video is a six-minute clip of Suleman’s children speaking at a women’s conference in Long Beach, California on October 14.

Her oldest daughter Amerah is seen reading a letter written to Suleman for Mother’s Day. ‘You know the song Dear Momma by 2Pac? Well honestly that song is for you – but you didn’t go to jail thank God,’ Amerah said to laughter from the crowd.

After failing to disclose earnings, Suleman pleaded no contest to a single count of misdemeanor welfare fraud in 2014, and was sentenced to community service and probation.

The new video also promised that Suleman would share her ‘life testimony’, though the exact nature of the testimony is unclear.

Earlier this month, the mother of 14 from Laguna Niguel, California shared a video from a doctor’s waiting room showing it filled by 11 seated members of her brood.

Suleman captioned the clip: ‘When your kids fill up an entire pediatricians office. #VeryLongDay #HealthyGrowingKid’.

In December, Suleman told DailyMail.com that she is finally ‘at peace’ following her financial difficulties and the strain of having to care for her 14 children, which she said left her on the verge of suicide at one point.

Suleman first made headlines in 2009, when she revealed that she had had IVF treatment and became pregnant with eight children, even though she was the unemployed mother of six other kids.

In 2012, Suleman filed for personal bankruptcy and, months later, filmed an adult movie called Octomom Home Alone, which went on to win multiple AVN nominations in 2013, taking home the prize for Best Celebrity Sex Tape.  She then began making appearances as a stripper.

Since pleading no contest to welfare fraud in 2014, Suleman has tried to escape the Octomom moniker, which she said ‘nearly destroyed me and my family.’

Suleman said that she now has a part time job as a counselor, working with men and women who suffer drug and alcohol issues and lives paycheck to paycheck, with the assistance of food stamps and residuals from the 2012 adult video.
