BREAKING NEWS: North Korea test fires TWO ballistic missiles over the Sea of Japan, officials claim – just a week after Kim Jong-un approved the launch of two other projectiles into the same area

  • The Japanese Coast Guard claims North Korea launched a ballistic missile into the ocean on Friday evening American time
  • The missile did not reach Japanese territory, according to officials

The Japanese Coast Guard says  North Korea have fired two ballistic missiles over the Sea of Japan. 

The missiles were spotted on Friday evening American time, and their launch was confirmed by US officials. 

The Coast Guard says the short-range projectiles did not reach Japanese waters or the  Exclusive Economic Zone.

It comes just a week after Kim Jong-un approved the launch of two separate missiles over the same area – and a day after the North Korean army performed in Russia for a military music festival.
