Olivia Attwood left the I’m A Celeb jungle over fears she had ‘dangerously low potassium levels’ – and not because she’s expecting her first baby.

The campmate, 31, was rushed to A&E after a routine medical where she underwent a blood test showed that she was anaemic, causing concern among ITV bosses.

In an exclusive interview with the Mail On Sunday, Olivia says she read online speculation from fans who believed she had left the jungle after discovering she was pregnant – and confesses the thought even crossed her mind as she made the frightening trip to hospital.

She said: ‘It felt like the longest journey ever, I was thinking that my blood was normal a month or so ago, so I didn’t know what to think.

‘I was wondering if I had picked up a virus, was I pregnant, all of these things were going through my head. It was absolutely frightening.’

After her hospital results came back normal, a relieved Olivia hoped that was the end of the nightmare – and she could slot back into jungle life with her new co-stars.

But after ITV producers deemed the risk too high and worried that the gruelling conditions in camp could pose a potential health risk to Olivia, she wasn’t allowed back.

After being pictured flying out of Brisbane airport, the internet was rife with potential theories as to why the TV personality had to unexpectedly leave the show.

Olivia said: ‘I mean, I saw on Twitter than I was pregnant. I’m not.’

Others doubted the star’s physical and mental strength and ridiculed her commitment to the process, which Olivia says she found ‘misogynistic.’

She added: ‘There is an underlying misogynistic feel to the rhetoric. They’re saying ‘I bet she fainted, or I bet she was scared of sleeping outside, or that she didn’t fancy it because it was raining.’

‘The reason it was so frustrating is because I am the complete opposite of that and to make it more irritating, people could see on the show that I was absolutely loving it. There was nothing I would have said no to on the show.

‘I loved it from the first hour and I was embracing every moment of it.

‘I’m a nature geek so I loved seeing all the bugs, and I even saw a kangaroo, so I was really in my element.’

Olivia revealed that her heartache over leaving the show was shared with fiancé Bradley Dack, 28, who, along with the nation, was confused as to why her jungle journey had abruptly ended.

She said: ‘Brad was heartbroken, he was really, really gutted for me.

‘It was hard explaining the story because telling it doesn’t make much sense. He kept saying ‘but why?’ and I’d say I don’t know.’

The couple, who have postponed their wedding twice, are looking forward to their big day, which Olivia has confirmed is finally taking place next year.

She added: ‘We are really deep into planning because obviously we moved it twice and I’m very lucky, I’ve got a lovely wedding planner who has had it all in hand so I’m expecting she’s going to expect a phone call for me now that I’m back.

‘I’ve got the dress, got the venue, we’ve done a lot – I’ve had the dress for two years.’
