And Olivia Colman stole the show once again as she took to the red carpet at the world premiere of her new film Empire of Light at Toronto International Film Festival on Monday.
The actress, 48, dazzled in a high-neck sequinned gown as she appeared on the red carpet with her co-star Michael Ward – who left the British star beaming as he planted a friendly kiss on her cheek.

Olivia looked stunning in the sparkly ensemble which featured a cinched-in waist which accentuated her hourglass physique.
She added height to her frame with a pair of black lacy high heels, and wore her short brown locks in neat curls.
Olivia completed her look with a light palette of makeup, including a dusting of blush and nude lip.

Directed by Sam Mendes, Empire Of Light is a love story ‘set around a beautiful old cinema on the South Coast of England in the 1980s’.
The project marks the first time that frontman Sam is set to direct a film that he didn’t pen with the assistance of a co-writer.
Along with Olivia and Michael, Empire Of Light will also star Colin Firth, Toby Jones and Crystal Clarke.
Empire Of Light will be released in UK cinemas on January 13, 2023.

Olivia’s appearance at the film festival comes after she praised King Charles III’s address to the nation after the Queen’s death.
While promoting her new film at the Variety Studio, she told the publication the King delivered his speech ‘so beautifully’.
Olivia, who portrayed Queen Elizabeth II for two seasons on Netflix’s The Crown, gushed over the long-serving monarch and is still processing the devastating news.

Speaking about Her Majesty, Olivia said: ‘She made a promise as a young woman and she absolutely kept it with such dignity. We’re all incredibly impressed by what she did.’
She then went on to compliment King Charles III’s recent televised speech: ‘From a British point of view, he did it so beautifully. He did it about love, tolerance and gentleness, and that is what she always wanted and she’s done.
She continued, ‘From the outside world looking at Great Britain, at the moment, we’ve got some comedy going on at one side — politics — and something so dignified. I felt proud to be British. I think he’s going to do a good job.’

The monarch’s death was confirmed and a Buckingham Palace spokesman said: ‘The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow’.
Her son Charles, the former Prince of Wales, is now King Charles III, as the world grieves his mother, Britain’s longest-reigning monarch.
And as her son accedes to the throne, there will also be a celebration of her historic 70-year reign that saw her reach her Platinum Jubilee this year – a landmark unlikely to be reached again by a British monarch.
Charles, the King, said: ‘The death of my beloved mother, Her Majesty The Queen, is a moment of the greatest sadness for me and all members of my family.
‘We mourn profoundly the passing of a cherished sovereign and a much-loved mother. I know her loss will be deeply felt throughout the country, the Realms and the Commonwealth, and by countless people around the world.
‘During this period of mourning and change, my family and I will be comforted and sustained by our knowledge of the respect and deep affection in which the Queen was so widely held.’
