Cancer-stricken Olivia Newton-John has made a desperate plea for people to stay at home during the coronavirus pandemic.

On Sunday, the 71-year-old actress, who is battling breast cancer for the third time, shared a picture of medical staff from the ONJ Cancer Wellness and Research Centre in Melbourne, which is named after her.

In the photo, staff posed with a cardboard cut-out of Olivia and held signs that read: ‘We stay here for you, please stay home for us. Take care.’

‘So proud and indebted to the amazing staff at the ONJ Cancer Centre and all hospitals and care facilities around the world for their commitment to helping us get through this crisis,’ Olivia captioned the post.

‘Please be conscious of what they are asking and help them maintain their health whilst caring for our loved ones.

‘Stay home, wash your hands, prevent the spread. It’s a short period of time to have to stay home and could make such a huge difference in the long term.
