Former Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson and her husband NFL player Andrew East have shared the first photos and video of their newborn son, who is nine days old today.
On July 19, Johnson and East, both 29, welcomed their second child into the world, announcing the happy news on Instagram.
Now Johnson has posted a trio of stunning black-and-white portraits of their family-of-four, while East has offered a candid look at his wife’s C-section and their emotional first moments with the baby on YouTube.

The couple had announced the birth of a baby brother for their 20-month-old daughter last week in a series of Instagram Story posts on their Teddy & Bear toy company’s page last week.
‘We’re so excited to announce a new friend is here,’ they wrote in one slide featuring a cartoon pacifier, adding: ‘Mom and baby are doing well.’
While they have continued to keep their son’s name under wraps, on Tuesday they shared the first look at the little one on their personal Instagram pages.
Johnson shared several portraits snapped by photographer Gabrielle Hopkins, including one of the baby in bed and another of Johnson holding him as she and East look down lovingly.
In a third, big sister Drew Hazel smiles as she holds her little brother in her lap.
‘Welcome to the world little man! We love you so much!’ she wrote.

On July 19, the couple arrived at the hospital for Johnson’s scheduled C-section. Johnson also delivered the couple’s daughter via C-section, and they were surprised to find themselves in the same room, with the same nurse, as their first time around.
East admitted he was ‘so nervous’ as Johnson was brought into the ER, but he soon joined her as she lay on the operating table.
He held her hand and stroked her head as doctors worked behind a partition to bring the crying infant into the world.
As the baby wailed and doctors cleaned him up, East also shed teared and kissed his wife.
‘Welcome to the world little man! We love you so much!’ Johnson said

Sharing highlights on Instagram, the proud father-of-two added: ‘I have never known a love like this.’
Even as the family is celebrating this exciting time, Johnson also asked fans for ‘healing prayers’ for her daughter, who has been ‘hit hard with a bad ear infection and RSV.’

Johnson revealed that she was pregnant with her second child in January, a little over a year after she gave birth to her daughter.
She shared the happy news on her Instagram account, posting images of herself showing off her baby bump alongside her husband and their daughter.
‘Here we go again,’ she captioned the snapshots.
The couple, who wed in April 2016, also shared their pregnancy announcement on their YouTube channel, where they documented the moment she discovered she was expecting.

The news came just over three years after Shawn suffered a devastating miscarriage, which they touched on in their video while offering words of kindness to anyone else who has gone through a similar loss.
‘If you are pregnant, trying to get pregnant, if you’re trying to adopt, if you’re in the process of expanding your family or recently suffering from a loss, we are praying for you,’ Johnson said toward the end of the clip.
‘All those beautiful babies out there, all those rainbow babies, all those babies in heaven. We love you guys.’
Johnson gave birth to her first daughter via C-section in October 2019, and they were told by her doctor that they needed to wait at least a year before attempting to conceive again.
She explained that the first pregnancy test she took was negative, even though she had missed a period and was struggling with her hormones. She tried again a few days later and was delighted to see a positive result.
Shortly after her announcement, she tested positive for COVID-19, but she soon recovered after suffering from a relatively mild case of the virus.
