Australian basketball star Liz Cambage could miss the Olympics after ‘multiple incidents’ in camp including fighting and partying in Las Vegas

Australian basketball star Liz Cambage could be stood down from the Tokyo Olympics after reports emerged that she was involved in a number of incidents in the team’s pre-game camp in Las Vegas.   

Cambage, 29, was understood to be involved in a physical altercation during a warm up match against Nigeria, which resulted in an episode of verbal abuse.

The four-time WNBA All-Star has reportedly also broken team protocols to go out in Las Vegas, where she plays with the Aces in the WNBA.

Additionally, team officials are believed to be investigating another possible incident.

If Cambage is stood down from the Games in Tokyo, it would be a significant blow for the Opals.

She is the widely regarded as team’s best and key player.

The Opals named an 11-player squad for the Olympics, which would be further reduced if Cambage was rubbed out for ill discipline.
