Omarosa ‘was shown a tape of Donald Trump using the N-word by Apprentice Contestant Try McClain’

Omarosa Manigault-Newman told White House aides she was shown a tape of Donald Trump using the N-word by former Apprentice contestant Troy McClain, it was reported last night.

The former White House staffer wrote in her memoir she believes rumors there are tapes of the President repeatedly using the slur on the set of The Apprentice but said she never heard a tape herself.

But then in an NBC interview on Sunday, she claimed she had heard a tape of Trump using racist language to discuss former contestant Kwame Jackson.

She said she did not write this in her book because she heard the tape after her memoir was sent off for publication.

Manigault-Newman repeated claims that she heard such a tape in interview with MSNBC host Chris Matthews on Monday night, but did not say who showed it to her.

The HuffPost then reported that Manigault-Newman told ‘at least three Trump aides’ that it was staffer and former contestant Troy McClain who showed her the tape.

When phoned by the publication, McClain admitted meeting Manigault-Newman in the White House when she was a director of communications in December 2017.

But he denied ever showing her a tape, saying: ‘You’ve got to be bullsh*****g me. Is this a joke?’

Lynne Patton, a Trump aide now at the Department of Housing and Urban Development, told the Huff Post that Manigault Newman phoned her after she resigned in December and claimed that McClain had played her the tape.

Manigault Newman allegedly told Patton she resigned because she was offended by the tape which she was said was held by Apprentice producer Bill Pruitt.

Pruitt caused controversy before Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign when he claimed Donald would regularly make racist and anti-Semitic remarks on set.

Last night Trump denied allegations he used the N-word and called Manigault Newman ‘wacky and deranged.’

‘[The Apprentice producer] Mark Burnett called to say that there are NO TAPES of the Apprentice where I used such a terrible and disgusting word as attributed by Wacky and Deranged Omarosa,’ the president tweeted.

‘I don’t have that word in my vocabulary, and never have. She made it up.

‘Look at her MANY recent quotes saying such wonderful and powerful things about me – a true Champion of Civil Rights – until she got fired.

‘Omarosa had Zero credibility with the Media (they didn’t want interviews) when she worked in the White House.

‘Now that she says bad about me, they will talk to her. Fake News!’

Troy McClain, now a communications and business mentor, rose to fame on the first series of the American Apprentice in 2004.
